Pamela Rollins

M.S., CCC-SLP

 

Pamela Rollins grew up in Brevard, NC. She attended North Carolina State University, where she earned a B.S. in Political Science with History Education. After graduating, Pam taught 9-12th grades in the areas of psychology, sociology, and political science before returning to graduate school for a Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Pam graduated from Western Carolina University (WCU) in May 2002 with a M.S. (+30) in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While attending WCU, she completed her internships in a variety of settings that included both the adult and pediatric settings. Pam enjoys interacting with the pediatric population increasing their language skills.

Since graduating from WCU, Pam has worked in a variety of settings including pediatric rehabilitation, the SHLC in 2003, Greenville County Schools, a hospital setting with the adult population, and at the college level supervising and teaching other speech-language pathology students. Pam returned to the SHLC in 2007. She has increased interests in oral motor therapy, infant-toddler language development, and hearing impairments.

Pam is a licensed speech-language pathologist with the State of South Carolina and the State of North Carolina. She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Since the Fall of 2007, Pam has participated on the board of the Piedmont Speech and Hearing Consortium and is currently the co-president for the 2008-2010 term

In her spare time, Pam enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, walking, traveling, and reading books.
