Hearing aids offered - types and models

Conventional - This is a very basic type of hearing aid that has been
around for a long time but it has had improvements made in them for better quality
in sound over the past few years.
Digitally Programmable - This type of hearing aid has a digital
portion to its circuit that allows it to be connected to a computer to be adjusted
according to the person's needs and preferences. It offers flexibility, advanced
compression circuitry to address loud noises and in some cases has the potential
for multiple programs for different environments. Although it has a digital
portion to it to allow these advancements, it still processes sound with an analog
circuit as does the conventional.
Digital - These hearing aids are also programmable when connected to a
computer but the inside components are 100% digital and thus gives even more
flexibility, advanced compression circuitry to address loud noises, the potential
for multiple programs for different environments and in most cases a function
specifically designed for noise suppression. It also delivers a more clear sound
to the wearer without as much distortion.
Hearing aids from Siemens, Oticon, Phonak, Senso, Starkey, Widex and other leading manufacturers.
