Our university trained, certified and licensed speech language pathologists are the professionals to see for problems with:
Articulation - Analysis and correction of poorly pronounced speech sounds.
Stuttering - Evaluation and therapy to meet individual needs, regardless of age. Family consultation is offered.
Cleft Palate - Evaluation and therapy is provided to develop articulation and language and to improve overall quality of speech.
Velopharyngeal Incompetence (VPI) Examination - VPI is evident when quality of speech is too nasal or excessive nasal air escapes during speech. We provide individual assessment to determine what treatments may help reduceVPI.
Voice Disorders - Evaluation and therapy to improve the quality, pitch, or intensity of voice. Example: hoarseness or huskiness resulting from vocal abuse.
Aphasia - Assessment and therapy aiding recovery from communication loss due to stroke or accident.
Language Problems - Our speech, language pathologists conduct evaluations with toddlers through adults to identify even the most subtle language problems. Therapy is individually designed to increase the persons ability to communicate through understanding and expressing oneself through everyday speech.
Laryngectomy - Therapy is designed to enable an individual to speak without use of vocal cords following surgical removal of the larynx (voice box). Consultation is offered before and after surgery.
