Special Programs
Private Schools, Kindergarten & Day Care Centers - A variety of on-site services may be contracted, such as screening, diagnosis,
therapy, consultation, in-service training for staff and programs for parents.
KIDS - (Kindergarten Individual Diagnostic Screening) The KIDS program is designed to detect speech, hearing and/or learning problems in 18-month to 6-year-old
children. Testing includes gross and fine motor skills, articulation, visual perception, hearing, and language
concepts.
Generally Speaking - (Foreign and Regional Dialect) Pronouncing English as a second language (ESL)
begins where conventional ESL programs end. This program, based on over 10 years of linguistic research with
children and adults, has been designed specifically to aid people with foreign and regional accents to improve
their spoken English in working with individuals and industries.
F.A.C.E.T. - (Facial Anomalies and Clefting Evaluation Team) The goal of this program is to
improve cleft palate services for children and adults of all socio-economic backgrounds, by providing a
multi-team approach. Members of the team include audiologists, geneticist, nursing specialist, nutritionist, pediatrician, reconstruction/plastic
surgeon, social worker, speech pathologist.
